Rapid Prototyping - 3D Printing
Improve Construction and Design with Quick, Low Cost Color 3D Printing Services
Visually show your design to your clients and communicate new concepts and design iterations more easily. 3D models can be printed directly from you CAD files.
- Make your design clearer
- Determine design validity
- Discover design errors
- Avoid last-minute changes
- Reduce costs and save time on color presentation displays
- You will receive models in days instead of weeks
3D printing provides prototypes using thermoplastic Polyester material. A computer controlled nozzle extrudes liquefied plastic and deposits it in layers to produce a prototype directly from a 3D CAD file. These parts can also be used for light testing and form fitting.
Time-to-Market Reduction. Reduce the time-to-market and protect the quality of the product. The bottom line is increased revenue and more market share.
Speed is a great advantage of rapid prototyping.
The technology replaces manually carved and sculpted methods.
Process that may have taken weeks or months to complete in the past can now be finished in one day.
The turnaround time depends on the job but we attempt to deliver models within 24 to 48 hours.
Sanding, machining, polishing, and painting can also be done on the models.
The latest Rapid Protyping technology is here.
Build Size:
300 x 200 x 200mm
Larger parts can be created in sections and joined and also can be scaled down.
Feature Size:
Models have a few thousandths of an inch accuracy.
Layer Thickness:
The layer thickness is 0.33 mm.
Material:
Durable polyester materials are used in the models. They are able to be sanded, tapped, and drilled. The parts have some flexibility and can be snap-fitted.
Contact/Request for Quote:
It is preferred to have the 3D CAD model to provide an accurate quote but an image or detailed description will also work. The following qualities determine the costs involved:
- Dimensions - volume and boundary
- Is there any extra preparation required for printing?
- The more parts ordered the more cost-effective it will be
- Urgency of delivery - Is the part needed ASAP or just during downtime
We can help you convert a 2D drawing to 3D format for printing.
If you have any questions or would like to request a quote please use our contact form or call (989) 790-9411.
Need a quote really fast? Instead of using the form, email us at ddi@ddiengineering.com and attach your CAD model in .zip, .stl, .igs, .stp, or other cad format, give a quick description of the job and quantities needed of each CAD model and we'll get back to you with a quote ASAP.
